Artist Statement

“當代藝術是關於我們身在哪裡，是關於我們如何處理在這情況之內的「自己」”

生命從來就沒有一本說明書, 只能藉著每天日常的硏習實踐完善生命。

 

所以繪畫也好 ，行為也好, 就是拿自己的身體為創作的開端、

以自己的日常為創作的背景 -

從中尋找自我的重量, 去探討「我」這個東西究竟是什麼。

 

從創作過程到作品都向洋溢著「我」這個載體的概念,

圍繞著「我是誰 /是什麼/在哪裡/是何為...」等問題:

向觀眾和自己作出有關“自我”這個概念的題問:

它是如何被社會塑造出來, 同時它又是如何塑造社會出來?"

There is no such thing as a user manual for life,

one can only prefect it via daily practice -

hence either in drawings or in performances,

are as daily practices for the soma.

 

Through employing the soma into the Art marking,

by taking the everyday life as Muses,

the aim is to find out what is the weight of "Self"

and fathoming the idea of "Me".

 

Both the art making process and the works themselves

embodies the idea of "Self in order to question both -

Both the audience and the artist about

 

“Who am I?”, “What am I?”, “Where am I”,” Why am I?”

 

Thus to understand the idea of "Self",

how it is moulded by the society while the society

is shaped by the "Me" at the same time.
